Misfit launched the Vapor X smart watch, powered by the Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip, built-in Spotify on the device and longer battery life.

Misfit’s latest smart watch is hoping to exceed the battery life limit of the wearable. Inside the Vapor X is equipped with a more energy-efficient processor and battery saving mode to maintain longer usage times.

Misfit Vapor X both improves on the shortcomings of the Vapor 2 while retaining the elegant design characteristic of the Vapor line.

The Vapor X is Misfit’s current lightest smart watch, weighing just 43g thanks to its lightweight aluminum alloy case and Sport Strap Plus silicon strap. In addition to the right knob, Misfit also adds 2 feature buttons that can be customized to your liking. Vapor X has a 1.19-inch AMOLED round screen, 42mm case size, 30-meter waterproof and microphone for conversations, using virtual assistants.

Vapor X uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip, which uses extremely low power to extend battery life. Other energy efficiency enhancements include battery saver mode and fast charging, which means the smart watch can be charged to a nearly full charge in 1 hour. This will minimize one of the smart watches’ biggest annoyances – consistently low battery levels.

This device will work on Wear OS platform, Android version for wearables of Google and will compete with the latest generation smart watches like Fossil Gen 5. Vapor X will be compatible with phones running Android 4.4 or higher or iOS 10 and above, with basic specifications including 4GB of internal memory and RAM of 512MB. In addition, it is a standalone GPS and users can use it when swimming in shallow water.

Misfit has integrated Spotify on this watch, so users can listen to music on the go. The watch can even play music without pairing with the phone, as long as the user has a Pandora or Google Play Music subscription. Vapor X is compatible with Google Pay, so users can make payments via NFC and also have the Noonlight safety app pre-installed that can be used to activate emergency service requests.

In terms of health monitoring, Misfit Vapor X comes with heart rate sensor and Cardiogram, GPS, NFC for payment, 4GB of internal memory, gyroscope and accelerometer to help track sports activities correctly. Fast-charge technology lets you charge 80% of your Vapor X in just 50 minutes, with a new battery-saving mode.

For those looking for more style, the Vapor X will come in 5 colors with an interchangeable strap and a customizable watch face for a more stylish look. Misfit is selling Vapor X for $199.99 for a limited time, then it will increase to $279.99.
